Sarah Friedland / US, 2024 / 92 min.
We continue to develop, even in old age – even if we are suffering from dementia. Empathetic, thought-provoking fictional portrait of octogenarian Ruth who has to go into a nursing home. Sarah Friedland’s feature debut won several awards at the Venice Film Festival.

Charming retired chef Ruth is eighty. She is suffering from dementia; her memories are slipping away from her, and she gets people and events muddled up. When her son Steve appears at her door, Ruth fails to recognise him.
