Bergman’s disguised reflection on his youth is hailed as one of the absolute highlights of the Swedish filmmaker’s wide-ranging career. The integral TV version is screened in a restored print by the Swedish Film Institute.

Lumière distributors released the original, restored TV series in a DVD box set together with two documentaries offering fascinating stories about Bergman in front of and behind the camera. The box set is also available from the Eye Shop.
