Fedora
Billy Wilder / DE, FR, 1978 / 116 min.
As in Wilder’s Sunset Boulevard, Fedora features a faded star (Hildegard Knef) who tries to stay the hand of time. Wilder set the film on the island of Corfu and used the tragicomic story of the ageing and reclusive actress as a framework for an inspired reflection on the very essence of cinema.

Fedora is screened in a new restoration previously presented at the Cannes Film Festival.
