Adriaan Ditvoorst / NL, 1975 / 105 min.
Baroque thriller in which bank robber Paul Flanagan tries to escape his aristocratic milieu of birth. Idiosyncratic director Adriaan Ditvoorst adapted Tim Krabbé’s crime novel in his own unique way.

Paul Flanagan is released after eight years in a Belgian gaol. His attempt to discover how the bank job went down and what happened to the money when he was the only one to go down for the crime turns into a quest for revenge against the co-conspirators in his family. The leads were played by Guido de Moor, Eric Schneider and Anne-Wil Blankers, the script was adapted from Tim Krabbé’s 1970 crime novel 'Flanagan of de dood van het beest'.
