The first fiction film from documentary maker Mercedes Stalenhoef deals with strong-willed Lot, who loses her sight after an accident with fireworks. Lot is mostly troubled by her dreams, in which she can still see. Cast includes Aiko Beemsterboer and Minne Koole, previously seen at IFFR.
Lot (Aiko Beemsterboer) has to learn to find her way through the world again at a rehab centre for the visually impaired: how to navigate your environment when you can’t see? Lot is an active person by nature – until the accident, she was a fanatical diver – so now she’s deeply unhappy.
