The tenth feature-length film by the Dardenne brothers picked up the Best Screenplay Award in Cannes. Five teenage mothers in a home – still children themselves, really – are fighting for a better life, each in their own way. An unembellished, heartfelt portrait, designed as a mosaic narrative.
Jessica, Perla, Julie, Ariane and Naïma are staying in a mother-and-child home where they are given support as young mothers (to be). These five teens, each with their own story and problems, support one another while doing their best to find a future for themselves and their children.
