Cairo during the First World War. Lieutenant T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole) is bored of the sleepy town. Then has a sudden insight: wouldn’t it be a good idea to unite the Arab tribes in revolt against their Ottoman overlords, which just happens to be the British Empire’s arch enemy? The charismatic Lawrence and Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif) bring together an army and manage to inflict severe losses on the Turks.
