Lost Highway

David Lynch / US, 1997 / 134 min.

Reality jars into fantasy in David Lynch’s sultry dark Lost Highway, or is it the other way around? We viewers are also sent on a dark trip along the lost highway, with only an identity swap to guide us. New 4K restoration.

'Film noir to the max': Lost Highway is the adaptation of Robert Aldrich’s noir classic Kiss Me Deadly, but then with even more fatal women and mysterious goings on than the original. A jazz musician (Bill Pullman) thinks his wife is having an affair. When she is found murdered, he suddenly becomes the main suspect. Bizarre story, Lynch style, replete with red herrings and mistaken identities.
