Belgium, 1995. The disturbing disappearance of two girls grips the country, causing an unparalleled media circus. The Belgian police have been scrabbling for leads for months to the population’s outrage. Paul Chartier, a young, idealistic cop is recruited for the secret ‘Maldoror’ task force charged with observing paroled sex offender Marcel Dedieu.
