Stefanie Kolk / NL, 2023 / 96 min.
Stefanie Kolk’s feature debut is a sensitive, compelling story about Robin and Jonas, who are coming to terms with the trauma of a stillborn child. Robin unrelentingly carries on producing milk and putting the bottles of mother’s milk into the fridge – the bond between mother and child proves insurmountable.

The shock is huge: Robin and Jonas’ baby is stillborn. Abject, they return home. A little later, Robin rallies; she starts producing milk and decides to keep it. She collects the milk in the fridge, which gradually fills up with dozens of bottles. In the meantime, Robin considers what to do with all this milk; her plan proves difficult to put into practice.
