In Mi amiga Eva, director Cesc Gay follows a woman at a turning point in her life. On the verge of fifty and after more than two decades of marriage, Eva chooses to let go of her certainties and open herself to new encounters. Over the course of a year, she navigates seduction, doubt, and desire in search of a feeling that cannot be forced.

With his signature subtlety and attention to nuance, Gay crafts an intimate portrait of a woman redefining her own boundaries. Moving between lightness and melancholy, the film explores love, time, and the courage to begin again, even when the outcome is uncertain.
