You Got Served put street dance on the map for an entire generation; this MovieZone evening pays tribute to this film and considers its influence in a range of conversations with the dancers, pioneers and collectives that make up the Dutch dance scene.
For many, it’s a classic. For the dance world, it was a milestone. In this edition of KinoTalk, we dive into the legacy of director Chris Stokes’ feature debut You Got Served (2004). You Got Served put street dance on the map for an entire generation. Bursting with energy, battles and brotherhood, while also tackling themes including rivalry, community and creative ownership.
