New Harvest will showcase the best new video art Amsterdam has to offer. In cooperation with Amsterdam Art we have invited every gallery and artist undertaking a residency in Amsterdam to participate.

This double programme will put a selection of the most interesting entries on the big screen. The selection committee consists of Marian Cousijn (Eye), Nina Folkersma (Amsterdam Art) and Kevin Osepa (artist/director). Alongside film screenings the programme also consists of conversations with artists. This puts you up to speed on the latest developments in a single afternoon.
This screening includes works by Isaac Julien, Gabriel Lester, Thania Petersen, Ghita Skali, Emma Talbot and Patricia Werneck
Ribas. Tickets for New Harvest I are available separately. This programme is part of the Amsterdam Art Weekend.

Eye on Art also focuses on experimental work by the new generation of makers and creators Researchlabs and the rich and animated history of the avant-garde film (Masters of the Avantgarde).The programme is not tied to a strict format and ranges from artist’s talks by filming artists, film evenings put together by artists or special programmes to accompany art exhibitions. All editions of Eye on Art are introduced by a talk, a piece of music or a brief performance. In English.

Eye on Art: New Harvest II (with Amsterdam Art Week)

New Harvest will showcase the best new video art Amsterdam has to offer. In
 cooperation with Amsterdam Art we have invited every gallery and artist
 undertaking a residency in Amsterdam to participate.

New Harvest I

Specially for this evening, German art collector Julia Stoschek has made a selection of works from her collection that combine cinema, visual art and dance culture. Stoschek will discuss this with director of Amsterdam Art Nina Folkersma. Followed by an afterparty (admission free).

German art collector Julia Stoschek founded the JULIA STOSCHEK COLLECTION in 2002. This went on to become one of the most significant private collections of time-based art, with exhibition spaces in Düsseldorf and Berlin. The focus is on experimental (video) art from the 1960s onwards. 
Stoschek has made a selection from her collection specially for this evening. The focus is on works that combine cinema, visual art and dance culture. She will show works by Arthur Jafa, Terence Koh, Mark Leckey, Carsten Nicolai, Hannah Perry, Pippilotti Rist, Jacolby Satterwhite and Steina Vasulka. Stoschek will also be talking to director of Amsterdam Art Nina Folkersma. The program is followed by an afterparty (free admission) in the Foyer with DJ mayo, visuals by VJ pioneer Peter Rubin, and Maskirovka (2017) by Tobias Zielony. This programme is part of Amsterdam Art Week.
