One, Two, Three
Billy Wilder / US, 1961 / 110 min.
Prepare for a rapid fire of jokes, great one-liners and bon mots in One, Two, Three, one of the few films by Billy Wilder not to have been nominated for an Oscar. James Cagney, star of the thirties and forties, plays an ambitious Coca-Cola executive in West Berlin determined to ‘Coca-colonize’ all of Europe. The Berlin Wall was constructed while the film was shot.

One, Two, Three did not go down well with the Berlin audience at the time but has reached the status of a cult film over the years. The firm was re-released in Berlin in 1985 and has been a hit there ever since.
