The films developed during the talent programmes AWARE and De Ontmoeting will premiere on October 4th! Eleven short films by a new generation of filmmakers.

AWARE is a collaboration between Smarthouse, MovieZone (Eye Filmmuseum) and De Ontmoeting and is looking ’bottom up’ for underrepresented filmmakers. Within this talent development programme, two films per year are made. With these projects, the participants can build their portfolio and these short films can serve as proof of concept for a next project or something bigger. In a part-time process of about six months, we work on the development, production and post-production of the short films under the supervision of film professionals.

De Ontmoeting is a talent program for new filmmakers. Through a series of short films, it gives makers the opportunity to further develop their ideas. By bringing the filmmakers into contact with the industry, this program offers them the opportunity to expand their network and take advantage of the experience of other film professionals
