Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk

Urgent portrait of a talented photojournalist in Gaza-City. A young woman who laughs, grieves, loves and keeps dreaming during the war only to be murdered by an Israeli air raid after this documentary was completed.

When Iranian film director Sepideh Farsi tried to travel to the Gaza Strip in April 2024, she was prevented at the border. Her idea of recording life under Israeli occupation runs aground until she comes into contact with Fatma ‘Fatem’ Hassona, a young, talented photojournalist from Gaza-City who becomes her eyes in the devastated area.

Benefit Performance

A special benefit screening will take place on August 27th in collaboration with Amnesty International and film distributor Imagine. All proceeds will go to Amnesty and its vital work and fight against the genocide in Gaza. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with director Sepideh Farsi and Joyce Man of Amnesty International, moderated by Bahram Sadeghi.
