Rebellious City documents how a small band of youth in Amsterdam challenged the authorities with anarchic zest and spontaneously planned happenings. The Provo movement drove the city’s police and mayor to despair, gave a voice to the young people of the Netherlands and changed the country forever. The protest generation also seriously widened the generation gap. The Dutch Provos expressed the longing for change like nobody else.
