Saccharine

Hana, a first-year medical student, is worried about her appearance. She thinks she’s too fat. When she runs into an old girlfriend who’s lost so much weight she’s almost unrecognisable, Hana is sucked into the world of weight-loss pills.

Preliminary film

Before Saccharine you will see the short film Escamillo Has a Tapeworm (7') from 1912. In this humorous film by Segundo de Chomón, Escamillo suffers from an insatiable tapeworm. The worm regularly comes out of his mouth to steal food and drinks. Escamillo goes to Dr. Fagot, an X-ray specialist, who he hopes can help him get rid of it.
