Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street + A Nightmare on Elm Street 2

The horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge has gone down in film history as the ‘gayest horror movie ever made’. A double bill screening of the documentary Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street (2019) and the 35mm feature film A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 (1985) from Eye’s collection. A collaboration with Roze Filmdagen (Pink Film Days) and the Imagine Film Festival.

A fascinating examination of the infamous homoerotic subtext and the special place the film holds in the Nightmare franchise as well as the gay film canon. Partly thanks to evolving social mores, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, which was considered controversial at the time of its release is now being looked back on with new appreciation and fondness by horror aficionados and fans of the series.
