Sisters Nora (Renate Reinsve) and Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) are clearing their mother’s house following her death. Their father Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård), a once celebrated but now largely forgotten arthouse director, gets in touch with his daughters. He wants them to play roles in his latest film; and to repair the broken relationship with his children.
