She Was Like a Wild Chrysanthemum
This lyrical film by Keisuke Kinoshita follows an old man as he returns to his native village and recalls his younger years. The fond sight of fields filled with flowers is at the same time a portrait of 20th-century Japan. The film is screened as part of EYE’s Japan programme which runs until December this year.
