Sinners
Ryan Coogler / US, AU, CA, 2025 / 137 min.
One of the cinema sensations of 2025, now screening on magnificent 70mm! A highly original take on Southern Gothic, about twin brothers who return to Mississippi to open a bar. But it turns out a great evil awaits them there. 16 Oscar nominations.

Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed) had a surprise hit in 2025 with this genre-busting mix of vampire horror, Southern Gothic and blues-drenched spirituality, set in the Jim Crow era. Lead actor Michael B. Jordan dishes out a double dose of cool charisma in his roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack. Having survived World War I and the Chicago criminal underworld, the brothers return in 1932 to their birthplace in the Mississippi Delta, with a truck full of hooch and a plan to open a blues bar in an old mill.

The cinema halls at Eye Filmmuseum are not only equipped with modern digital projectors; analogue films on 35mm and 70mm film strips are also regularly shown. This makes Eye one of the few remaining cinemas where you can still experience film on celluloid. And that's special, because the viewing experience of analogue film remains unparalleled.
