Snowpiercer
Bong Joon-Ho / US, 2013 / 126 min.
Ten years from now: a new Ice Age is decimating humankind. A select few survive in the heated express train Snowpiercer: the rich at the front, the poor in the back. Exuberant film adaptation of an apocalyptic French cartoon, with a stellar cast including Tilda Swinton and John Hurt.

The year is 2031. A new Ice Age grips the planet, and the human race faces extinction. Only those who could get onto the heated express train Snowpiercer have a chance of survival. But tensions run high on board the train, which has been running for seventeen years: the front carriages are home to a wealthy elite, while at the back is a ghetto for the poor. Violent insurrection seems inevitable.
