In an attempt to re-connect with his father, 13-year-old Roy decides to accompany him to Sukkwan Island – an uninhabited island way up in the deep north. It’s supposed to be a character-forming year out in the wilds of nature, full of adventure. But, thanks to the harsh conditions on the island and his father’s capriciousness, what starts out as a good opportunity to forge a closer relationship soon deteriorates into a struggle for survival.
