Tall Tales

Renowned English record producer Mark Pritchard, songwriter Thom Yorke and groundbreaking visual artist Jonathan Zawada present Tall Tales, a jointly developed visual and musical experience the three of them worked on together for ten years.

Tall Tales, the animation for which was made by Australian artist Jonathan Zawada, is a fairytale for the modern computer age; images, music and text tell of rising tides, kings and queens, Amazon logistics and robot arms that work away under rainbow-coloured skies. The boundary between the organic, earthly and the dystopian seems to have disappeared.

As in all good fairytales, dark and light intersect in Tall Tales, while Thom’s echoing song mixes with Mark’s bright electronic compositions.

Tall Tales is an adventure that takes an experimental pathway in which image, sound, song and text enter into a special alliance; a prophetic experience centred around the question of where our desire for ‘progress’ has taken us.
