Two orphan brothers, Black and White, take their city back from a powerful megacorporation, but with dangerous consequences looming ahead. A mix of the kooky action typically seen in shonen anime (traditionally aimed at teenage boys) and an extravagantly visual character study.
The two orphan brothers, Black and White, also known as “The Cats,” rule the streets of Treasure Town. All the gangs know not to mess with them, as the brothers show exceptional teamwork in taking down anyone who stands in their way. However, once a megacorporation wants to take over control of Treasure Town to establish a brand new theme park, the brothers do everything to sabotage the plans.
Featuring exceptional background art showcasing the liveliness of Treasure Town, and an eye-popping mixture of traditional 2D and modern 3D animation, Tekkonkinkreet is a feast for the eyes during its exciting action sequences and fantastical psychological scenes showcasing the brothers’ mental states. A must-watch on the big screen for fans of anime.
