Terence Stamp is one of the iconic faces of (British) sixties cinema: perhaps not as well known as Albert Finney, Michael Caine or Peter O’Toole, he was certainly more adventurous in his choice of roles. Acting under Pasolini and Fellini in 1968, Stamp embodied a few quintessential preoccupations of the sixties: black magic and sexual liberation. He stars as a devilish sex symbol in Toby Dammit and as an erotic saviour in Teorema.
