Director Thomas M. Wright took a crime story as his point of departure for his second feature film. In 2003, a child murderer was arrested after one of Australia’s biggest undercover operations ever. Later on, a book was published on the case by Kate Kyriacou entitled ‘True Sting: The Undercover Operation that Caught Daniel Morcombe’s Killer’.
