Tummy Tom and the Lost Teddybear
Joost van den Bosch, Erik Verkerk / NL, 2024 / 62 min.
Orange cat Tummy Tom makes his debut in a lead role in this do-and-sing-along animated film. You don’t need to sit still to enjoy it – you can help Tummy Tom search for his favourite cuddly toy. With songs from Mike Boddé and Johan Hoogeboom.
Tummy Tom finds out something terrible has happened: Bear has disappeared! Bear is his favourite cuddly toy, and Tummy Tom has to find him again. Luckily, Tummy Tom gets help from his best friend, Poes Muis. Together they set off to search, and face all kinds of unexpected challenges. A bed can also be a trampoline, a stone in the garden turns out to be a tortoise, and you can perform circus tricks on a washing line.
Their search becomes an expedition and leads to unknown new areas such as the field, the ditch, the woods and the beach. On the way they encounter other animals they don’t know yet who try to help them. This animation for the very youngest was written by Burny Bos, who also provided the voiceover, and was based on the books by Jet Boeke.
Tummy Tom and the Lost Teddybear is spoken in English. Dikkie Dik en de verdwenen knuffel is voiced in Dutch and can also be seen in Eye.
