In the film, Undine is a Berlin museum guide who feels let down in love. A new horizon dawns when she meets the professional diver Christoph.
Undine works as a guide in the Stadtmuseum; she knows everything there is to know about Berlin, from its foundation to the years following the Fall of the Berlin Wall. She is an enthusiastic guide for her visitors, knowing she will meet Johannes after work. Her beloved is nowhere to be found, however. He has left Undine.
