Jonás Trueba sketches the neuroticism of life in the west in this small-scale but endlessly rich new feature film. Two couples meet for a concert and drinks having spent months separated from one another by the corona pandemic and big life events. The two meetings, in winter and in summer, take place in Madrid and in the surrounding countryside. Here, we listen in on their conversations, which subtly reveal their emotional and intellectual lives, personal fears and resentments.
