A Higher Parasol
A Higher Parasol: Tim Walker and Tilda Swinton in Conversation
Performer Tilda Swinton, photographer Tim Walker and stylist Jerry Stafford will talk about the relationship between film, photography, set and costume and the ways in which these inspire one another.

Performer Tilda Swinton not only works intimately with filmmakers, but also with photographers, artists and icons from the world of fashion. She will be in conversation with photographer Tim Walker and stylist Jerry Stafford.
Tim Walker
Tim Walker (1970) is a British photographer known mainly for his work for Vogue. Tilda Swinton and Tim Walker have collaborated many times over the years, letting their wild imaginations loose on avant-garde fashion editorials brimming with alternative universes. The resulting surreal images have appeared in prestigious American fashion journal W Magazine. Specially for the exhibition in Eye 'Tilda Swinton – Ongoing', Swinton and Walker conducted a photo shoot of Swinton in the garden of her Scottish home, which has been in her family for centuries.
They will discuss this collaboration and show photographs they have taken previously, including of Tilda Swinton in clothing belonging to her ancestors. Their way of working will be further illuminated by a unique screening of a Super8 film shot by Tim Walker during the photo session.
