Didi and Amy share an apartment and work together in a down-at-heel massage salon in Queens. Their close friendship helps them cope with their day-to-day struggles in the salon and its repulsive clientele. Didi gets involved with charming, married Cheung (Lee Kang-sheng); during the Chinese New Year celebrations a tragic act of violence derails the relationship between these three migrant workers.
