Don't Look Now
Nicolas Roeg / GB, IT, 1973 / 108 min.
Another chance to see Nicolas Roeg’s gripping adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s novella of the same title in Eye – with Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland in the lead roles. A superior psychological horror by this filmmaker, who died in 2018.

An old woman with clairvoyant powers tells the Baxters that she’s seen their young daughter Wendy in Venice, setting in motion a wild search by her desperate parents. They now see the little red coat Wendy was wearing when she drowned everywhere: hanging on washing lines, and on a small child who disappears into Venice’s labyrinthine alleyways.
