Don’t Stick Your Dick in Crazy Night

Koolhoven & Simons: Don’t Stick Your Dick in Crazy Night

A sultry one-night-stand degenerates into a total nightmare in the erotic thriller Fatal Attraction (on 35mm) with Glenn Close and Michael Douglas at their craziest; preceded by clips from Basic Instinct, Play Misty for Me and Cat People, among others.

Many a married man will have nervously fiddled with his wedding ring while watching eighties hit movie Fatal Attraction – then thought twice before embarking on any extra-marital flings. This tense erotic thriller follows a tumultuous romantic liason between New York lawyer and family man Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas) and unmarried Alex Forrest (Glenn Close), who works for a publisher. Dan sees this adventure as nothing more than a fun one-night-stand – from the goods lift to the kitchen counter – but when he tries to break it off, the relationship degenerates into obsession, stalking and the now iconic 'bunny-boiling'.

Koolhoven and Simons will be scrutinising the genre film, presenting films within pretty forthright themes that have never before been screened at Eye. Expect evenings on Trucker, Grindhouse or Revenge of Nature films. A tribute to rarely screened trailers and forgotten classics, where possible in 35mm, using films from Eye’s collection.
