Detective John Hobbes (Denzel Washington) is seen as one of the smartest cops on the Philadelphia police force. But when, following a gargantuan effort, he finally manages to catch serial killer Edgar Reese, it turns out that this is not the end of the story. During his execution, the murderer keeps singing The Rolling Stones song ‘Time Is on My Side’ – and it isn’t long before Hobbes find out what this means.
