Digital restoration of the post-war classic in which a French actress (Emmanuelle Riva) falls in love with a Japanese architect (Eiji Okada) in Hiroshima, based on a Marguerite Duras script.

The actress and the architect have traumatic war histories: she had an affair with a German soldier and was arrested as a collaborator and the young architect witnessed the horrors of the atom bomb.
