Les uns et les autres
Claude Lelouch / FR, 1981 / 184 min.
When the work premiered in 1981, Claude Lelouch greatly impressed with his passionate portrait of the fortunes of four musical families before, during and after WWII. The finale with the scintillating choreography to Maurice Ravel’s Boléro was especially acclaimed. Digital restoration (2K).

Les uns et les autres follows the lives of four musical couples and their children between 1936 and 1980. Music is what ties the characters, who all work in jazz, music halls, classical music and ballet despite the huge differences in lives. The love of music brings them all together during the scintillating finale featuring a Maurice Béjart choreographed performance of Ravel’s ‘Boléro’.
