The third feature film by French director Boris Lojkine follows Souleymane, an immigrant from Guinea, as he delivers meals by bike around Paris – will he manage to obtain legal status? Lead actor Abou Sangare picked up the Best Actor Award of the Un Certain Regard programme in Cannes for his performance.
Seven days a week, Soulyemane zooms around Paris on his delivery bike, delivering meals to people. Almost no one notices him, pretty much no one knows who he is, and no one pays any attention to how little a delivery rider serving the city’s well-heeled residents earns.
