In this candid documentary, video artist Jeroen Kooijmans reconstructs the period prior to his psychoses and the long journey that followed, using only personal archival material created by himself and the love of his life. An ode to love, art and darkness.
For filmmaker Jeroen Kooijmans, creating art is his raison d’être – but sometimes it pushes him to depths of despair. The footage he shot of himself as he descended into psychosis is incredibly raw. Love-22-Love is above all a declaration of love to his wife, artist Elspeth Diederix – his rock, and the light at the end of his tunnel.
