Spike Lee's biopic Malcolm X was first released in the Netherlands exactly 25 years ago. Both the film and the turbulent life of Malcolm X has not lost any appeal over the years: more than half a century after his death, many young people are still inspired by his ideas. Malcolm X is screened in EYE following the theatre concert 'Malcolm X' in the Rotterdamse Schouwburg on 29 September.
