A decisive week in Mother Teresa's life before she became world famous: the rebellious biopic Mother is an incisive character study of the woman behind the myth. Featuring Noomi Rapace and Sylvia Hoeks.
Calcutta, India, 1948. Mother Superior Teresa waits anxiously for a letter from the Vatican that will finally grant her permission to found her own order—a calling received from God, yet also a radical desire for a nun. Undeterred, the tireless, ambitious Teresa prepares for her potential departure. However, when her intended successor confides a major secret, both Teresa’s mission and their friendship are put to the ultimate test.
