Box office hit by six-person Thai film collective is a heartwarming, bittersweet portrait of the friendship between a boy and a girl in a provincial town during the 1980s. Iconic Thai cinema.

When Jeab learns from his mother that his childhood best friend, Noi Nah, is getting married, a flood of memories takes him back to a bittersweet reminiscence of friendship and regrets. Flashing back to the 1980s, Jeab and Noi Nah share an inseparable bond as children. Their mothers are best friends, and they live only one door apart. However, their friendship faces scrutiny from a local gang of boys, whom Jeab longs to be a part of. Desperate for their approval, Jeab begins to distance himself from Noi Nah, ultimately causing her pain.
A massive Thai box office hit upon its release, My Girl remains one of the country’s most iconic films. This nostalgic journey offers a heartfelt reflection on friendship, masculinity, and personal growth, enriched by humorous references to the pop culture and music of the era.
