The Leftovers is a poetic post-apocalyptic work about two performers that are captured in separate rooms. They can observe each other, but cannot hear nor speak with each other. An invisible character seems to control them, read their minds, and experiment with them. With this film Antonin Rioche wants to investigate the subject of artificial intelligence in relation to human feeling.

Dancer/ choreographer Yuri Bongers (1974-2021) received a research grant for the development of a choreography with camera, dancers and the landscape as protagonist, when he discovered this would be his last project. With filmmaker Jeanette Groenendaal, he decided to escape a few days every season in 2021.
