News from Home (in memoriam Chantal Akerman)
The Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman died on 6 October last week at the age of 65. EYE on ART comemmorates one of the greatest film innovators of the previous centruy by screening News from Home (1977), Akerman’s highly original portrait of her mother. The screening will be introduced by writer and filmmaker Eric de Kuyper.
