Now also showing in EYE: the first full-length feature film by Ukrainian director Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy. His portrayal of the teenage Sergey who finds a way to survive in a crime-infested boarding school for the deaf won numerous prizes, including that of the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes. Only sign language is used in this film, which is without subtitles at the director’s express wish.
