Pulp Fiction
Quentin Tarantino / US, 1994 / 154 min.
It’s been 30 years since Pulp Fiction premièred. In this instant cult film, two bumbling enforcers get in way over their head, resulting in unintentional deaths and hilarious dialogues.

Pulp Fiction marked the comeback of former Hollywood star John Travolta and provided the breakthrough role for supporting actor Samuel L. Jackson. In his homage to the Hollywood pulp films of the thirties and forties, Tarantino examines the mob scene through the lens of fiction and cartoons.
The various episodes in Pulp Fiction don't really revolve around a common theme, but it hardly matters. The razor-sharp dialogues, the obvious relish with which the star cast (including Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis and Harvey Keitel) play their characters and the exciting action render a neat storyline all but superfluous.
