THEREAFTER
Director:Pshemek Kaminski
Choreography: Pshemek Kaminski
Year completed: 2021
Country of production: Germany
Duration: 38:06
THEREAFTER is a speculation about a place that exists in a parallel universe, in a distant future, long after contemporary society has collapsed. While wandering, roaming and maneuvering therein, two protagonists experience a series of phantasmic encounters. They gradually discover features of a landscape and commit to a place where green is greener than ever before.
Director, choreographer and dancer Pshemek Kamiński achieves through narrative and movement a way to transport us in a rousing and inventive environment, where the imagination can wander about the potential expressions of the future.
The Accident
Director: Stein-Roger Bull
Choreography: Jo Strømgren
Year completed: 2021
Country of production: Norway, Czech Republic
Duration: 31:37
An accidental death comes unexpectedly and abruptly to a family that has recently been challenged by the pater familia’s marriage to a younger woman. Against the family's will and protests, the newly married widow insists on making a family photo and brings the dead man on set. It takes no time for disruptions to occur and family issues to rise to the surface.
Featuring the Czech dance company 420PEOPLE and Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang, The Accident captures, through dance and music, an absurd yet familiar play of family relations.
