Lucien Castaing-Taylor, Véréna Paravel / FR, 2017 / 73 min.
Wondrous film about ‘body & mind’: sixties songwriter Dion McGregor speaks his dreams aloud from his unconscious. Anthropological filmmakers Véréna Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor (whose work can now be seen in the exhibition) combine this with experimental recordings of the human body. An immersive experience.

For seven years, Mike Barr recorded the monologues – which could run to many hours – of his housemate Dion McGregor, who talks about the most surreal experiences. About how his body was sawn open and organs removed; about sexual fantasies; about how he wanders the streets of a minuscule mini-city.
