Strange Creatures (Extrañas criaturas) (Cristobal Leon & Cristina Sitja Rubio, CL 2019, 15’)
One summer day, the animals of the forest are invited to a party. They feast on cake and dance deep into the night. When the party is over, they find that all of the trees they use for shelter and food are gone. Strange creatures have stolen their homes, so they decide to go on a search.
The Cassandra Cat (Až přijde kocour) (Vojtěch Jasný, CS 1963, 105’)
In this modern-day fairy tale and rediscovered Czech New Wave cult classic, an ordinary village is visited by a magician, his assistant and a magical cat with sunglasses. Children love the cat, but adults fear him. 4K restoration.
